Brethren,
As I’m sure you’re aware, there has been a tremendous uptick in the number of people throughout the district experiencing illness recently. This has caused quite a few of our churches to have to cancel services in an effort to reduce transmission and to allow time for folks to heal up.
Unfortunately, this problem has also drastically affected our Midwinter Camp-West in Eau Claire. Due to illness, we have become critically short with regard to our support staff — so much so that it would be very difficult for the district and our host church to accommodate this event.
After much deliberation we have decided to cancel the Midwinter Camp-West in Eau Claire. While I’m sure this is very disappointing, especially those in sections four and five, we assure you this decision was very difficult, but made only after much consultation. PASTORS – WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE INFORM YOUR PEOPLE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
We also ask that you pray with us regarding the other two Midwinter Camps, that the Lord would protect our people and make a way for these events to take place. As of now, they are still on. We will send information out to you immediately if anything changes.
