2020 Wisconsin District Camp Season

Greetings in the Name of the Lord!

On Monday night the Wisconsin District Board met via Zoom to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, we considered Wisconsin Governor Evers extension of “Safer at Home” and the recent introduction of the Badger Bounce Back Plan as it pertains to our summer camp schedule.

After prayer, much discussion, and consideration, the Wisconsin District board has decided to cancel all scheduled camps for 2020, to include Family Camp, Jr. Camp, Youth Camp, Men’s Camp, due to the uncertainty of the timeframe in which people will be allowed to once again congregate together and in consideration of the safety of the saints of Wisconsin. Unfortunately, so much of this is beyond our control.

At this time, the board is looking at possible alternate plans to minister to the Wisconsin district in lieu of campground meetings, but for now, there will be no services on the campground in Shawano for the remainder of the year.

I am personally very disappointed for the children, students and saints of our district because I know how important Camp is to them and all of us. I thank you in advance for your understanding, as this was a historic and difficult decision. That said, God is not social distancing Himself from us! The Lord is still moving in an incredible way, and as we wait on Him, He will show Himself strong, like never before!

Praying for each of you!

Believing God for a Great Harvest of Souls!
